It could be worse... Arsenal could have gone 9 years and 22 games without a win against Spurs or could have lost 6 out of 8 semi-finals against them. We could have gone 6 years without reaching a major final or 9 years without winning one or gone 24 years without a European trophy. We might not have finished above them for 13 years. We might never have qualified for Europes premier club competition or gone 47 years without a league title. We might have had to watch them win the league twice on our pitch. But we didn't... THEY DID. Spurs. Forever in our shadows. (after the first spuds' win since 1999)

26 mins: More good defending from Toure, stopping a Bellamy cut-back that would have found Fowler free on the edge of the six-yard box.
25 mins: Liverpool have just about had the better of the play, but Arsenal are getting back into it.
24 mins: Fowler looks for Bellamy through the middle, but the experienced (in this side anyway) Toure cuts the pass out
23 mins: Toure almost finds Aliadiere with a pass through the middle, but Paletta makes an important interception.
22 mins: Bellamy aims a cross from the left for Fowler and Guthrie in the middle, but it's far too long and curls out for a goal kick.
21 mins: While this younger than young Arsenal side look skillful, they inevitably lack some physical presence and tactical and positional nouce.
20 mins: A promsing Liverpool move is ended after Fabio Aurelio puts a pass straight out of play.
19 mins: Gerrard fires in a low shot from the edge of the area, and although it was straight at Almunia he does well to claim cleanly.
18 mins: Alexandre Song is easily dispossesed in midfield, and seems to trip Fowler in trying to reclaim, but nothing doing from the referee.
17 mins: Baptista - who still hasn't adapted to the English game - loses out again in midfield.
16 mins: Warnock again gets past Justin Hoyte and puts in a low cross, but Almunia does well to claim.
15 mins: Walcott is fouled on the right by Gabriel Paletta.
14 mins: Bellamy finds Gerrard un-marked in the box, but he can't get enough power on the header. He had time to take it down and shoot there.
13 mins: Guthrie slices a shot high and wide from the right of the area after the resultant corner.
12 mins: Warnock gets in down the left for Liverpool, but Toure gets to his low cross first and concedes a corner.
11 mins: Wenger's youngsters look just as slick and adept as the first choice side. Some nice passing down the left ends when Armand Traore can't stretch far enough to take a one-two return.
10 mins: Gonzalez is finally stretchered off, and Garcia replaces the Chilean winger. Play is finally underway again.
9 mins: Gonzalez is still laid out on the pitch - the rest of the players are trying to keep warm.
8 mins: Players from both sides look concerned - the medics seem reluctant to even move Gonzalez.
7 mins: The paramedics are called for now to give Gonzalez some air. This looks very serious.
6 mins: It doesn't look good for Gonzalez - Luis Garcia is limbering up to take his place.
5 mins: Johannes Djourou puts in a crunching - but fair - challenge on Robbie Fowler. Meanwhile Mark Gonzalez is down after jarring his knee tackling Walcott.
4 mins: Basic misunderstaning between Cesc Fabregas and Kolo Toure at a free-kick - the Spaniard nudges towards the Ivorian, who is unready and Liverpool clear.
3 mins: Stephen Warnock looks for Bellamy down the left, but the pass is too strong.
2 mins: Danny Guthrie charges after a Craig Bellamy lay-off down the right, but can't get on the end of it and it's out for a throw.
1 min: Liverpool get the game between two remarkabley inexperienced sides underway at Anfield. Arsenal are lining up with Jeremie Aliadiere and Julio Baptista up front, and Theo Walcott and Denilson on the left.
Pre-match:
Both Rafa Benitez and Arsene Wenger have made a raft of changes for this evening's delayed Carling Cup quarter-final at Anfield.
Liverpool lost 3-0 to the Gunners on Saturday in the FA Cup and are anxious to make amends.
Benitez names only two players from Saturday's starting line-up - goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek and Steven Gerrard.
Gunners boss Wenger is of the same mind, naming no less than six teenagers in his starting line-up. Only goalkeeper Manuel Almunia and Kolo Toure retain their places in the team, with Cesc Fabregas returning after suspension.
The winners have a semi-final against Tottenham to look forward to.
Teams:
Liverpool: Dudek, Peltier, Hyypia, Paletta, Warnock, Guthrie, Gerrard, Aurelio, Gonzalez, Fowler, Bellamy.
Subs: Reina, Luis Garcia, Alonso, Crouch, Carragher.
Arsenal: Almunia, Hoyte, Toure, Djourou, Traore, Walcott, Fabregas, Song Billong, Denilson, Julio Baptista, Aliadiere.
Subs: Poom, Diaby, Connolly, Lansbury, Randall.
Referee: M Atkinson (W Yorkshire)
